Jim Allen was our March speaker and he asks our help in raising funds for St Jude.
He's entering the South Beach Triathlon to raise funds for this cause, of which he says, "I'm raising funds as a St. Jude Hero to support St. Jude's lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. This year is special for me, because my sister recently died of brain cancer, and she spent much of her time helping kids fighting cancer, too. Please help me reach my fundraising goal for the kids of St. Jude, especially since St. Jude shares its research without limit."
If you haven't given to St. Jude's recently, take a moment and support Jim.

iCloud is a free, cloud-based storage and computing service. It can store all of your music, photos, calendars, contacts and more
and wirelessly push them to your other computers or iPhone and iPad devices. iCloud is easy to set up, but to get the most from it
you need to take a closer look at what it can, and cannot, do. Joe will provide a feature-by-feature overview of iCloud services,
detail how to get your data into the cloud, and discuss why this cloud has a silver lining. He'll also discuss a few other non-Apple
cloud-based services such as Google Docs and Dropbox.
Joe Kukella has been a Mac user since 1988. His work as a designer and educator gives him a unique perspective on technology,
how people use it, and how to explain it to others. He's currently an Assistant Online Program Director for the Graphic and Web Design
Department at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division where he manages a group of 30 faculty and develops courses for over
3,000 students from around the country pursuing undergraduate degrees in Graphic Design. When he's not busy trying to fit that title
onto a tiny business card, he hosts workshops and training services in Key West focused on Macs, iPhones, and iPads for individuals
and small groups. In addition to teaching art and design, he spent five years with Macintosh Systems Solutions in Key West serving
as the Service and Education Coordinator where he fixed computers and taught folks the nitty-gritty of wrangling Macs to do more
than just play Bubble Blaster.
While he is in the Upper Keys on Thursday the 14th, Joe will be booking appointments for personal training visits as well.
If you're interested in having him stop by your home or business for an hour or so to cover any Mac OS, iOS (iPhone and iPad),
or Adobe product (Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) questions you have, drop him a note at joe@kukella.com

Joe Kukella had to cancel at the last minute. Instead we showed MacHeads.
MacHEADS is a feature length (52-min.) documentary which explores the loyalty of Apple fans and their obsession with the company and its products. The film takes an in-depth examination of just what makes the Mac, the iPhone, and Apple's other products seem like cultural phenomena rather than just consumer electronics.
We had time after the movie for an open discussion of some problems people
had been having. Hope we were able to help!
